My Amazing Day was a collaboration, born from a shared vision of starting habits of gratitude early in children’s lives, as well as an appreciation for the sense of wonder with which children view the world.

Karin Fisher-Golton is an author who writes picture books, early readers, children’s poetry, and children’s nonfiction. Earlier in her life she completed a teaching credential program and has worked with children in preschools, elementary schools, and other lively places. She lives with her husband and son in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lori and Elizabeth wanted Karin to be part of this project because of the way she captures a sense of wonder in her writing and connects with the hearts of her readers. Lori A. Cheung is a photographer whose work has appeared in O, the Oprah Magazine, aired on Animal Planet, been published by Time Warner Books and more. She is also the founder of Pets for World Peace. She was voted Best Photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area by East Bay Express and won Bay Woof Magazine‘s Best Pet Photographer Award. Karin and Elizabeth think Lori is perfect for this project because her photos capture the spirit of her subjects within the exquisite beauty of their settings. Lori and Karin are grateful Elizabeth is part of this project because of her magical way of bringing words and images together and adding even more beauty and meaning.  Learn more about Elizabeth and her work at anomalydesign.com.
